We went to Cornerstone Automotive to have Tommy evaluate our electrical system as well as the engine block. He told us that will need a replacement CDI unit minimum, but first, we should complete our engine rebuild and remount the engine to the bike. To do this, we will need to attach our new piston to the connecting rod, reattach our clean cylinder, and reattach the cylinder head. Our other issue is the random spot for what looks like a bolt on the top of the cyclinder head. Tommy believes it is for some sort of pressure release and recommended that we plug it for now until we can find a better solution. We then plan to take the bike back to Tommy so he can help us gain a spark and get our engine started.
