Last week, we ordered almost $250 worth in new parts including: a rear brake pedal (which some would call essential to stopping), a rear brake rod, a spring for the rear brake pedal, an air filter, an air intake tube, a fuel line, a pressure bolt, an exhaust pipe gasket, plastic cleaner, and a petcock. The rear brake parts have arrived as well as the exhaust pipe gasket and the pressure bolt. We finished installing the new brake pedal and the pressure bolt. We are waiting to install the rest of the rear brake parts because we need to have the rear wheel cleaned and realigned before attaching the brake. The exhaust pipe gasket cannot be put on until we remount the engine, so that has been postponed until we are ready to attach the engine to the frame. Upon further inspection of the front wheel, we found it has been improperly reattached. The previous owner of the motorcycle took of the front wheel and cleaned the entire thing, but failed to align the front wheel on the axel. When the wheel rotates, it hits the right fork, which as you could imagine is bad. He also failed to place the tire back on the wheel, so the tire itself is crooked on the rim. We are unable to realign the wheels ourselves, so we're hoping to take these problems to Tommy next time we see him.
